Organizational Participation

Parent committees play an important role in supporting the school’s activities and enriching the overall learning experience of children. Through active participation, parents become valued partners in the school community and contribute meaningfully to various events and programs conducted throughout the academic year.

These committees are an essential part of the Montessori environment and parental involvement is encouraged, as it supports both the growth of the children and the development of the school. Participation also helps parents gain deeper insight into their child’s learning journey and progress within the Montessori setting.

After parents have spent approximately three years engaging with the school and its functioning, they are encouraged to contribute their personal expertise by serving on the School Board or various sub-committees. The board welcomes interested parents with skills and commitment in areas such as finance, fundraising, law, public relations, catering, editing, maintenance, and administration whenever vacancies arise.

Committees functioning in the school include:
Library Committee
Going Out Sessions Committee
Sports Committee
Finance Committee
Fundraising Committee
Snacks Committee
Event Management Committee
Material Making Committee

Parent Conferences
Parent–teacher conferences are conducted twice a year. Each meeting is scheduled for approximately 20 minutes and focuses on discussing the child’s academic, social, and emotional development. Teachers are also available for additional consultations during the term with prior appointment through the school office.

Classroom Observations
Parents of newly admitted children are required to observe an appropriate classroom before their child begins school. These observations can be arranged through the office.

Parents of enrolled children are encouraged to observe their child’s classroom once every academic year. Observations are intended to help parents understand the Montessori environment as a whole, rather than focusing only on their own child.

Classroom observations are offered during the second and third years of the Primary programme. Each observation lasts for one hour and must be booked through the school office. A maximum of two adults may observe at one time. For the smooth functioning of the classroom, babies and toddlers are not permitted during observation visits.
